::We had a great meal, the food is well worth making the effort to get here. In the context of Michelin stars, the service is a bit patchy (not giving all the menus available, mixing up what cutlery went with which diner) but in the context of getting food and wine promptly to the table and making sure we were happy with it, it was great. We only need this place a lot.

::Our visit today was to celebrate my wife's birthday, and in terms of it being a special treat, it did not let us down. The dining room is crisp, clean and airy with several interesting artworks adorning the walls. No doubt in the daylight, the views are excellent too, but we could see only twinkling lights. We both had different starters and mains and gave very big thumbs up to each one in turn. The cooking and presentation was perfect, with gorgeous flavours flowing out with each mouthful. Washed down with an NZ Sauvignon, it was delightful. To round off the evening, the staff had prepared the Birthday Girl a selection of petit fours with a message on a plate. Thank you so much for that!

::The food was amazing. I had the scallops to start followed by the loin of brill. My dining companion had the oysters followed by the loin of cod. There was nothing I could fault about the food or the service. I have only given this place 4 stars as I feel it was lacking a few finer points. For example the menu was on a piece of laminated paper and there was no table decoration. I know it's only a minor thing but when you are paying a high end price you expect a high end service. It still won't put me off from returning or recommending to others.
