Founded by Lyndon "Don" Pallot, the Museum has a substantial collection of steam and transport artefacts including locomotives & rolling stock, cars, trucks, stationary engines both steam and petrol, traction engines, steam rollers and so on. It also has exhibits that include Matchbox cars, bicycles, farm machinery, pianos, radios and model engines . Highlights for me included: 1. A working steam train ride. It was hauled by a 0-4-0 Peckett & Sons locomotive made in 1952 in Bristol. It was so nice to smell the coal smoke and steam. 2. A US Army WW2 Mack Truck. 3. A brass bound 6hp Merlin portable engine 4. A beautifully preserved Ford Anglia 5. A Mini Moke 6. A lovely Morris 8 7. A 0-6-0 La Meuse locomotive built in Belgium in 1931. 8. A compound 125 kW Sissons generating set 9. A Scammel wooden barrel road tanker. 10. An 1870 railway coach that was used by Jersey Railways till 1929. Combination brake van with first class, second class and luggage compartments. Beautiful timber. 11. A monster jim-cro on bogies. I can recommend a visit to both young and old. Note: The Museum is open from 26 March to 29 October (at least during 2018) from 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. Closed Sundays

Inside was ok, revoked memories of times gone by enjoyable. The steam train ride was a bit flat, your taken round an untidy field twice. Wouldn't go again.

Wonderful place to visit if you love all things mechanical. Tons of things from a 70's Telex machine, to cinema, church and ballroom organs, all 3 versions of the Raleigh Chopper! steam engines, early railway rolling stock, war time vehicles, tractors and classic cars from early 1900's to the 1980's. Terrific place and very reasonably priced.
