  My dad and myself stayed a few nights here. From the front desk to the bar and restaurant staff they were all amazing. The food in the restaurant was plentiful and mouthwatering. The location is picture postcard with the harbour and also the of course the castle. Parking was just out front of the hotel and you do need a parking disc. 100% stay here again in a heartbeat

  We stopped for lunch after visiting the castle. I really enjoyed the prawns and Moules with garlic bread and a bottle of Mateus Rose - would go back and have it again. No problem

  In respect of the rooms they are, as advertised, dated. Extremely noisy hotel, ours were from the kitchen staff as the noise seemed to travel, our friends was from the neighbouring rooms. The reception staff very unhelpful and unwilling to compromise on issues raised. For example, Expedia stated checkout at noon, the Hotel said 10.30 am, the receptionist did not even want to discuss this. On a good note however, the restaurant food was delicious and the waiters were very friendly.

  Although the food is decent I can't abide a pub where the bar staff don't keep track of which customer should be served next. Some dude walked up after me and claims he was there for five minutes. I'll spend my money elsewhere in future.

  I can say that it's one of the greatest places to go and have a dinner. The food is always a good surprise, very tasty, quick service, and the most wonderful employees. They are always looking after you in such a nice way, they are also remembering about you from the beginning. I will be happy to come back all the time. Congratulations to everyone! ❤️
