  Arranged a time to open an account over the phone. Arrived on time, friendly people greeted me, account opened and not fuss or problems. Great service and happy with the outcome.

  Have to call a switchboard just to make an account opening appointment, and their central phone lines leave you on hold forever. Waste of time.

  The phone number I just got off the web for HSBC is wrong. When I got the right one there was a 25 minute queue. I just wanted to call the local branch to make an appointment. It is just not possible practically. I think they are useless.
